Urbike is a cooperative company specialising in last-mile bicycle logistics. Since 2018, it has positioned itself as an accelerator of change in urban logistics by promoting the use of cargo bikes to replace vans and trucks under 3.5 tons. It has four main areas of activity:
Delivery
Urbike transports a wide range of goods, with a maximum capacity of 200 kg and a volume of 1 to 2 m3, at controlled or noncontrolled temperatures. It offers the reception, sorting, and storage of goods in its logistics hubs.
The service is available in Brussels, Ghent, and Leuven.
Consulting
The company offers advice to guide businesses and institutions in their transition to cycle-logistics. This approach includes a feasibility analysis and an assessment of potential socio-economic and ecological benefits. It also offers technical solutions, scenarios and pilot tests while supporting the large-scale deployment of these initiatives.
Equipment sales
Urbike is the exclusive distributor of FlexiModal trailers in Belgium. These trailers allow the transportation of pallets and containers by bike. Various models are available (BicyLift, Runner, etc.). The company also offers maintenance services for this equipment.
Training
Urbike offers training in cycle-logistics to learn how to operate a cargo bike or bike trailer. These training sessions are tailored to businesses of all sizes and include tests of different cargo bikes.
