Lumency SRL is a spin-off from the Free University of Brussels (VUB), Industrial Engineering Sciences research group. The company designs and produces intelligent sensor networks as well as custom printed circuits.
These sensor networks can monitor multiple environmental factors such as noise, radiation and air quality. It also finds its market in the management and renovation of buildings thanks to the installation of sensors linked to automated maintenance. It is also active in intelligent lighting related to LED technologies (dimmer, internet connection, remote maintenance). Lumency is also active in mobility, notably monitoring the performance of batteries and even placing sensors on bicycles. Other industrial sectors could also benefit from these smart sensor technologies.
