BruBotics, Brussels Human Robotics Research Center, is a multidisciplinary consortium of 9 research groups of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), performing research on Human Robotic technology such as exoskeletons, social robots, artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction, robotic revalidation, prosthetics, collaborative robots, augment reality, drones and many other.
BruBotics offers its services in three areas: robotic technologies, health and industry, with a cross-cutting focus on sustainability.
When it comes to the circular economy, BruBotics is positioning itself as a key player in improving the efficiency of industrial processes. Its contribution aims to enable robots and humans to work together in a complementary manner in order to lighten heavy or repetitive tasks and reduce production costs. This can be envisaged in particular in disassembly and refurbishing processes that cannot be fully automated, or in circular production lines where humans continue to play a central role.
