Presentation

NOOSA is an innovative Belgian company created in 2020, which develops and produces bio-sourced textile fibres, made from sugar from non-GMO plant crops (PLA). Its fibres can be fully recycled.

It aims to support the circular economy by reducing textile waste, from design to recycling. By transforming used fibres into new products with no loss of quality, NOOSA™ contributes to a more sustainable and eco-friendly textile industry.

The company is about to install a pilot production line in Anderlecht and has its own recycling unit there.

Products & Services

NOOSA sells a range of bio-sourced fibres, spun yarns and multi-filaments for textile manufacturers.

There are many applications, including in the production of work wear, household linen, sports clothing and decorative textile. Its fibres are known for their comfort, durability and low environmental footprint.

The company has developed recycling technology. Thanks to NOOCYCLE™, these fibres can be recycled an infinite number of times with no loss of quality even when they are blended with other materials. This NOOCYCLE™ technology uses non-toxic, FDA-approved solvents that make it possible to recover the pure raw material and separate out all the other elements (hard points, other textile materials, etc.).

Expertise

NOOSA has developed unique expertise. It lies not only in the production of PLA fibres, but above all in the integration of the entire chain through to the recovery and recycling of textiles produced using its fibre.

The company offers technical support to its partners, thereby optimising each stage of production to ensure high-performance and eco-friendly products.

In addition to being fully recyclable, NOOSA fibre has other advantages: it is UV-stable, fire-resistant, bacteriostatic and hypoallergenic.
