Presentation
Les Petits Riens is a non-profit organisation active in the social and solidarity economy in Belgium for several decades, with a mission to combat poverty and social exclusion.
Social and professional integration is at the core of its activities, and all the profits generated by the activities described below are intended to support the most vulnerable individuals.
The organisation is responsible for the collection and sorting of textiles throughout the Brussels Capital Region, thanks to its extensive network of well-known yellow banks throughout the city. Donations are also possible through its many sales points.
Products & Services
The non-profit organisation Les Petits Riens is a member of the cluster for its sorting, repair, and upcycling activities. Here is an overview:
Textiles
In addition to collecting and sorting clothing banks, Les Petits Riens has developed the Yellow Label, a brand of upcycled clothing produced in its workshop and sold in its shops.
Appliances
Les Petits Riens brings electrical appliances back to life in its “Horizon” training centre, located at its Anderlecht site and recognised as a Workshop for Work Training (AFT) since 1993.
Toys/Furniture
Les Petits Riens has a repair workshop for toys and furniture that refurbishes these items before resale in their shop network.
Expertise
The main expertise of Les Petits Riens lies in the qualification of operators at the sorting centre, enabling the quick and accurate identification of quality clothing.
Les Petits Riens are also key players in the collection and sorting of textiles in Brussels, as well as furniture, books, electronic devices and other everyday objects. Their repair workshops (electrical appliances, bicycles, toys, computers, etc.) extend the life of these objects while providing training to interns in social and professional integration.
