Presentation

Habeebee was founded in 2016. The company specialises in crafting and selling skincare products made from the by-products of ethical beekeeping practices. Only beeswax and propolis are harvested and used to produce cosmetics.

Some of these raw materials come from local beekeepers who use horizontal hives that allow the bees to build their wax freely and ensure that the bees keep their honey as a priority.

To strengthen this network, Habeebee has set up a cooperative called Habeebeeculture, designed to support beekeepers to transition to this bee-friendly approach and grow the supply chain for local products.

Products & Services

All products are made from natural, biodegradable, additive-free ingredients. They are certified organic by Certisys.

The company produces and sells several own-brand product ranges.

The solid range

This range includes soaps which are cold-saponified. The seven solid soaps in the range are made from a blend of beeswax, olive oil, coconut and shea butter. There is also a solid rhassoul shampoo.

The liquid range

The liquid range includes products formulated with natural ingredients and enriched with propolis: body soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturising lotion.

This range can be refilled in-store to limit packaging.

Balms

The balms are natural. They can be used to repair lips, nourish hands and feet, soothe skin, repel mosquitoes and clear the airways.

Oils

These oils can be used for face and body care and contain propolis and beeswax.

Expertise

Habeebee has developed expertise in working with apicultural by-products in such a way that respects the bees’ natural cycle. Its products are cold saponified which preserves the natural glycerine and includes an 8% superfat content, unlike hot-pressed soaps.

The company has also created a unique process for extracting propolis and infusing it into a facial oil.
