CyCLO is a social enterprise (non-profit organisation founded in 2003) that focuses on the socio-professional reintegration of individuals marginalised from the labour market. It provides training and employment opportunities for bicycle mechanics and offers a range of cycling-related services. CyCLO also sells bicycles. Its target groups are individuals, associations and schools.
Products & Services
CyCLO offers several services:
– maintenance and repair services for bicycles through its seven bike points;
– bicycle mechanics training to make cyclists more self-reliant. These training courses are aimed at all ages and knowledge levels;
– access to professional equipment, with or without assistance, for DIY bicycle repairs;
– access to secure bicycle parking;
– rental of various types of bicycles for test rides before purchase or for sightseeing;
– management of the Brussels bicycle depot for bikes recovered after theft;
– and a laboratory space to support new bicycle-related projects.
CyCLO also sells used bicycles and refurbished bicycles through the solidarity bicycles project.
Expertise
CyCLO has developed extensive expertise in repairing all types of bicycles and refurbishing bicycles that are no longer in use, giving it a clear advantage in the concept of the immortal bicycle. CyCLO therefore contributes to reducing, reusing, or repurposing as many parts and bicycles as possible to benefit the circular economy and the people of Brussels.
