B.R.MET has been active in the collection, sorting, and processing of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) as well as ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste since 2003.

The company’s services include the home collection for individuals and the drop-off at its facilities for professionals of metal and WEEE waste.
Metal waste is sorted and then prepared or crushed to be sent for recycling to secondary smelting foundries, where the material will be reused in new products. The company has invested in crushing lines to process cables, which are separated into two components: copper and plastic.
The company specialises in the processing of WEEE. Devices still in working condition are sent to reconditioning lines while others are sorted by hand and then decontaminated. Subsequently, the materials are separated to be returned to the industry for recycling.
Expertise
The company has over 20 years of experience in metal waste processing (sorting, separation, dismantling). Always looking to innovate to valorise waste, over the past ten years the company has introduced cable crushing lines, capable of extracting 97% pure copper and separating the plastic. In search of solutions for valorising this plastic, it patented a technique in 2023 to manufacture profiles for industry and construction. This is an activity based on urban mining and will take place within the Brussels-Capital Region.
